Files stay on your Mac
TAGDAD reads the files you select to display their information and prepare changes. File contents and metadata are processed locally. The app does not upload your library, sell your data, include advertising or use analytics or a third-party crash-reporting service.
The App Store edition uses macOS App Sandbox and security-scoped bookmarks for files and folders you authorise. Changes are written to your files only when you apply an operation.
Local storage
Preferences, window layout and saved folder-access bookmarks are stored locally on your Mac and remain until cleared from the app’s local data. Disabling “Remember last folder” stops automatic reopening of that folder; it does not erase previously saved access bookmarks. Editing and undo information is held locally during your session.
Removing a file from the workspace or quitting without applying proposed edits does not delete the original file. TAGDAD has no developer account or server-side copy of your files to delete. Contact support if you need help clearing local settings.
App Store trial and purchases
Apple processes the trial and optional Full Unlock purchase using your Apple Account. TAGDAD reads Apple-verified transaction information locally to determine whether the trial is active or Full Unlock has been purchased. This information can include the product identifier, purchase date and refund or revocation status. TAGDAD does not receive payment-card details or send transaction information to a developer-operated server.
Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. App Store purchases, diagnostics you choose to share with Apple, macOS backups and cloud-synced folders are controlled by those services and your settings.
Support messages
If you email support@tagdad.net, the information you choose to send is used to answer your request and investigate the issue. Support mail may be forwarded to the developer’s support inbox and processed by the hosting and email providers used to deliver it.
Please avoid sending private media, passwords or other sensitive information unless necessary. Support correspondence may be retained for follow-up. You can request deletion by emailing the same support address, subject to any records that must be retained by law.
This website
The website contains no advertising, analytics scripts, accounts, tracking cookies or contact forms. Its screenshots and resources are served with the website. The manual search and screenshot slideshow run in your browser without sending searches or selections to a server.
The hosting server may record ordinary request information, including IP address, requested page, browser information and request time, to deliver the website, diagnose errors and protect the service. Those server records are separate from the TAGDAD app; the app does not send file contents or usage events to this website.
